. A 1/10
th
scale 2WD off-road car, it was one of the first truly race-able off-road cars from Tamiya.
Tamiya
Frog
was released in the early 80's. It was an incredible car for its time and a sales phenomenon!
The
Tamiya
Frog
was designed from a clean slate; it was not to be a copy of a real buggy. Tamiya lightened the car with plastic parts increased the suspension travel with an excellent trailing arm system and strapped on over sized oil dampers to handle the bumps. The
Tamiya
Frog
chassis design was also very strong and reliable. So much so that Tamiya kept using it for years to come in such cars as the
King Black Foot
and
Monster Beetle
.
This

is the
original
one, not the re-released model.
It is very hard to find an NIB original

nowadays.

). Due to its age (

yrs
), the outer color box of this kit has some fading
and
bowing.
BUT
there
are
no parts missing! The instruction manual and decal sheet are new too!

Tamiya
Frog
will require a 2-ch radio system with 2 servos and a 7.2 V battery pack to operate. It comes with a 3-Step speed controller, but could be easy to use an ESC for better operating.
