DESCRIPTION
The Amarok is a mid-size pickup truck built by Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWCV). The truck has been in production since 2010 and it has proven very versatile on both on-road and off-road applications. The life size subject features a modern pick-up truck body with double- and single-cab variants. Suspension is provided by front McPherson struts and rear leaf springs. This radio control model is based upon a 3-liter engine version of the truck which was used to promote the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi 2014. The Tamiya RC kit is based on a modified version of the WT-01 chassis platform. The WT-01 chassis uses a molded plastic frame with a modular design where the large plastic gearbox is an integral part of the chassis. The design of the main chassis consists of two main halves that sandwich the rear gearbox and an empty front bulkhead. The independent 4WD double wishbone suspension allows the WT-01 chassis capable of handling off-road terrain with ease and agility.

• The model runs on an updated, narrow version of the WT-01 chassis. It features a 281mm wheelbase and 192mm front & rear tread.
• The monocoque chassis unit provides sure-footed handling and easy access to the gearbox for maintenance.

• 4-wheel double wishbone suspension is fitted with 123mm diameter/59mm width tires for excellent traction.
• Includes Tamiya TBLE-02S ESC (capable of running brushed and brushless motors)
• Includes 540 motor.
• Requires 2-channel radio, 7.2 volt battery & charger, and Tamiya PS polycarbonate paint
