    Description

For sale is a vintage Nikko Dandy Dash 1/10 scale 4WD Buggy.  This is an almost ready-to-run kit from Nikko and comes with the buggy (assembled), unpainted Lexan body, 2 channel AM Stick Radio, servos, mechanical speed controller, antenna tube, battery straps, etc. and full instructions.  To get it running, you need a batteries and a charger.  I've included a lot of high-res photos so please review them to see exactly the condition of the kit.
The Dandy Dash is a shaft driven 4 wheel drive off-road buggy.  It features a fully independent suspension system and a tub chassis design.  The Lexan body included has not been painted or cut out yet.  However, someone has already applied the decals and there is some oxidation from age which will need to be removed before painting. I purchased this unit about 30 years ago from the hobby store I worked at after it was returned by a customer.  Hence the decals already being applied to the body.
This is a highly collectible piece of RC history and will only go up in value with time.  Everyone in the USA knows Nikko as a "toy" brand.  A company which makes a ton of toy quality products including RC cars and buggies.  However, back in 1988 Nikko attempted to enter the hobby RC business with the Dandy Dash. It was not only built to a complete different level of quality but a full range of spare and hop-up parts were made available for it.  In fact, they had two stages of updates via a Up Works kit which converted the Dandy Dash into a Brat.
If you are a collector, you already know the position this kit holds in RC history.  If you are new to this product, cast aside everything you've assumed about Nikko.  This is nothing like the Rhino or other RC cars they released in the past.  Email me if you have any questions.
